It's been 4 months now.. Still it seems to be a new place. Despite the environment being cool and people being very accommodative, she keeps mum even when she shouldn't. She actually thinks.. "What wrong!!!".. It was not like this before.. It used to be a tedious journey of almost 1.5 hours. Still upon reaching the destination, the tiresomeness was never visible on her face. Pleasant looking teddy bear and flowers marked the start of her day. Either crappy or interesting, she was always occupied with the work... with tea and interesting lunch breaks in between. Lot of talking and having fun being her pass time... Time used to go so fast you know. 9 p.m... A look at her.. she will be as brisk as she would in the morning. Reaching home at 10.30 p.m. Yes you read it right.. 10.30 in the night.. But she never cribbed about anything... May be she liked it that way...

Things have changed now. Reaches at 9 30 in the morning. Interesting work. in between breaks(does she go???!!!) and lunch(not interesting though in spite of the presence of lot of food)... lot of musical instruments to play... TT(she doesn't know though)... Doesn't talk much(oooops.. what???... she doesn't talk... can't believe)... yes.. she doesn't talk at all.... packs up at 7 in the evening. This being her regular schedule these days.. Not sure where she is heading to!

Why this sudden change??? Doesn't she like the place.. aren't the people friendly.. Is something wrong with her??? Did she get too attached with the previous workplace that she is not able to get accustomed to the new one??

She is still trying to figure out the answer :O ...

My uncle was dumbstruck hearing this from a 1.5 years old kid!!!

Oops... My First Last day!

Yes, it was my last day @ iNautix. But will that change the routine???? huh ha.. def not!. I got up at 7 45. Went to station to catch the 2nd fast.. Good that I caught it on time! Like always, I stood for the ECR bus for 15 mins! :( .. Got into a Pondicherry bus whisking the conductor!! uh hoooo! As expected there was too much of traffic and  I got down from the running bus ;-) Jumped the barricade and finally reached the Tidel premises! :)
It was my last day! But voila.. I had too many tasks on my plate. Completing the last day formalities, farewell lunch, 2 pending KTs and of course saying tata .. b bye. to my colleagues/friends. Will I be completing all the tasks before I start for the day!!!???? I have to . but dunno how.. hmmm..

I sat at my usual desk to start composing the so called jazzy "Adieu" mail!!! I poured out my thoughts with pinches of emotion, feelings, love and thanks. I was half done with the final formalities. Ooops.. It was time for lunch..  but there was no sign of the manager :( . I was hungry.. and finally I was taken for the farewell lunch.. just 3 of us.. my manager, a TL and meeeeeeeeee! Went to my fav restaurant. But alas! the food wasn't good at all!!! hooplah.. no desserts!?????  haaaahhhh :( ... and those two were busy talking about the critical project delivery... hmmm.. Finally I was dropped at the office! :).. Now it was time to start my tata b bye emotions! NOoooooooooooooooooo.. KT is still pending. I started juggling with the 2 pending KTs... Then came the farewell cake cutting ceremony.. ahhhh... what is this.. such a big gift!! :( :) .. :) - It was a painting .. so should def be too good.. :( - how am i going to carry back home :( .. anyways.. I postponed the worrying part for a later point in time! Enjoyed the pastry, puff... Once the stomach was full, they asked me to give a farewell speech.. I being a great orator ;-) .. gave a wonder speech.. ( did i??? ).. I ran here and there to say good bye to complete the final formalities.. Oops.. The time crossed 7:30 p.m. It was a US holiday and ppl left early :( ..  I couldn't say bye to many folks :(( .. anyways. it's a not a final bye you see..  I ll anyways be in touch with the people @ iNautix! :) .. So no worries...

Oh ya.. I forgot to mention.. as a token of thanks, I gave a small gift to a person who has always been my support in everything. Thanks to him :) And also thanks to my manager for everything.

:) I got too many gifts and couldn't in carry two hands :( So I waited for my stupid friends who always start only after most of the people sleep! Finally we started and reached home!

The day definitely was a memorable one for me! Too much of emotion. crying.. feelings.. hugging.. chweet cards.. lovely words.. and lot of gratitude... :)

I will always miss the people @ iNautix.. It was definitely a great place to work.

Unexpected Dash!!!

Crazy.. glum looking but still jovial.. little frenzy... work aholic yet chweet.. This is how I would describe my dear friend.. This female(J) I am talking about has got engaged and is to get married quite soon :) Her guy(R) is a pakka Iyer.. a perfect ambi :) J can't keep quiet.. and R loves being calm... J loves missing mobiles.. R doesn't prefer a mobile... J is always surrounded by lotsa cracks.. R prefers being in his world... As we say opposites attract.. So is the case with this "to be jodi" :) ..

It was "Akshaya Thritiyai", an auspicious day and people wait for such occasions to do purchases for marriage. My friend J too went for purchase. It's not just the day that matters, it's also the time that is of utmost significance. She selected the "muhurtham" saree.. It was about time and she had to buy before the so called "not so bad" time begins.. The shop as expected was crowded. She had just 5 mins.. She had to get the receipt.. pay the bill and get the delivery.. She squeezed by the crowd to the bill counter by stamping 'n' number of legs.. pulling 'x' number of dupattas... hitting lotsa people.. finally she reached the counter..

Suddenly she felt as if someone was staring at her. She turned and was shocked. Not sure of what reaction to give, she just blinked and gave a shying smile. It was R whom she had dashed across to pay the bill ;-) Lot of thoughts were going thro' her mind. "Did he come to know that I am not all that calm.. Should I tell him that I am no calm or should I tell him that by mistake my foot stamped on his".. Whatever.. She didn't open her mouth as she was busy blinking... But love is something that just goes unsaid.. He understood whatever she wanted to say and just said .. "I too came to pay the bill. Please go ahead".. She was like "Thank God.. I escaped.." :)

Iyer Mami

I have many Iyer friends who are gals. Of them, only very few resemble traditional mami! Yesterday I got a message from my close friend that she has pierced her nose successfully ( I say successfully cos she got her nose  pierced after a hell a lot of crying and after getting pampered ... habba... at last it happened).. The entire night I was imagining how this female would look like.. Will she be wearing a ring in her nose or a diamond stud.. or something different and funny :p.. I looked at her today and was like "oooh... wow... Iyer mami in the making!!!".... In fact I wanted to make fun of her and irritate her the moment I saw her.. But I was dumbstruck man..

She was looking so beautiful and stunning that though I wanted to ... I was not able to ... ;-)
I just felt had her fiancé seen her then.. may be he would have sung.. "Sundari neeyum.. sundaran naanum.. aahhh.. ooohhhh... eeee".. And she in return would have sung... "Palakkattu pakkathile oru .... eeeeeee....oooooo.... nuuuuuuu..."...

I just felt... that's the beauty of tradition!!! :-)

Unforgettable Theatre Experience!!!

You can see a smile on one's lips when he/she thinks about the beautiful past.. I am no different.  As usual I was sitting idle in the afternoon (in fact I am idle always).. and I was trying to rewind my childhood memories. There are many instances when our class has had a hearty laugh. One such instance is this.. I was in 4th standard .... We were having our English class. Not sure what chapter it was and it has no relevance to this post. The teacher asked a हटके question to us. "Those who have gone to theatres please raise your hands".. Almost everyone's hand was in the air. So she said .. "those who haven't gone to a theatre ever, please raise your hands".. To our surprise, one hand went up in the air.. The teacher had a bewildered look on her face. She confirmed with the gal if she has never went to a theatre. She gave a sure shot "never" look.. However the teacher's duty is to take lessons.. So she didn't bother much and continued with her job of taking lesson... The bell rang and we were happy again.. ;-) .. But somehow few of us still had it ringing in our ears "I haven't ever gone to theatre"..  We were just curious to know if she was in her  senses or that we heard it wrong.. I forgot to mention that... when only her hand was up in the air... that gal had a a confused look on her face..  Anyways... we went to her and asked her.. "Were you in some kind of jungle where there are no theatres at all!!!".. "Or is it your family tradition to not go to theatres.. which is some kind of पाप or something like that..".. In return she said .. "Oh man..Don't embarrass me with such questions.. anyways all of you have gone to theatres.. the experience would have been one of a kind right... I thought atleast one would give me company of not going... I have never been you know..".. The next sentence that she said gave us a trickle.. "From wherever you sit.. will you be able to see everyone.. will you be able to get the crux of what is actually going on.." And we were like... "Ofcourse.. that's why all of us go there!!! to watch it on big screen...".. She was like... "Oh.. even there you watch it on screen.. huh... sigh!!!... Won't there be noise at all".. We: "Hey.. comm'on.. We shout when necessary...".. She: "oooh... You sit and watch or stand all the time".. We: "Hmmm.. When we shout.. we stand.. otherwise sit and watch...".. It just went on and on.. Then suddenly she asked me : "Which match did you see there...".. Actually to be honest.. I don't remember of matches being shown in theatres then.. Only movies.. Then finally it dawned on me that something is fishy and we are misinterpreting what she is saying.. I asked : "What do you expect to see us in a theatre." .. She was like .. "Cricket match. You folks enthusiastically energize the folks playing.. blah blah... " .. Hah.. "Idiot.. duffer... that's a gallery.. a stadium...".. And the entire class burst into laughter.. So every time someone says he/she went to watch match.. I ask "To a theatre or a stadium... :p )..

A jolly ride .. in the night.. at midnight

Reached home at 9:45 p.m. Had wholesome dinner. yawning... Slept off in mom's
lap.. One of the most boring IPL matches being aired on T.V.  There are people who watch cricket matches irrespective of it being boring or interesting. goddamn.. Dad was supposed to catch a bus at 12 30 a.m. Suddenly my inner conscience said it's time. I got up to see that my dad is still glued to the T.V.. Just imagine.. One over left and 35 runs to score.. Is it really possible.. I would say it would have been possible had Lance Klusener been on the batting strike ;) ( Point to note is that I too watch cricket.. :) )..Finally..I saw myself saying. "Get up dad.. it's time.. you got to catch the bus".. Mom shouting.. "She has to come home alone at midnight".. Finally the boring match ended up with the Kolkata Knight riders defeating Deccan Chargers by 24 runs.. The time was 11 45 p.m. Atlast dad and I were on the road..
It was quiet except for the barking of dogs. too many dogs actually.. we reached the bus stop.. that was not the end.. He had to go to tambaram. So he got into a bus to tambaram. and I was on my way back home.. Though sunny night.. pitch dark it was .. no street lights.. ooooooh. Too many stray dogs on the road and they were infact fighting.. bhu bhu bhu.. not even a single soul on the road or near by.. Horrific images started crossing my mind.. Though it was just 10 mins ride from bus stop to my home. it seemed ages!!! huh.. On a side road .. I saw a guy ..but it looked as if he was staring at me and was having defiant look on his face... uffff... (may be he was thinking.. what is a gal doing at this hour on the road... ) .. Looking at the dogs made me feel as if they are chasing me ... My goodness. Finally I reached home safe :) .. Though there was breeze outside.. I was sweating from top to bottom... Mom said once I entered home.. "It's pitch dark outside.. you are brave enough to come home alone!!!" ... I just gave a cheesy smile while trying to hide the scary experience I had...

Actually it's not all that tough to ride alone in the dark.. May be 2nd experience will be far more better :) so that I can do justice to the title ;-)

Best Moment @ i|Nautix

Best moment or best moments!!! After the everlasting memories of college
days and fun-filled training period, I was like a new kid on the block when
I entered NetxClient. All new faces, tough looking atmosphere, my mind was
full of questions like.. Oh God! What am I doing here.. Where am I going to
start.. I would say I was on pins and needles.. The location I was given
was the best one could ever get @ i|Nautix (:D) .. If you get bored you can
turn your head a bit and could see the sea view. Very soothing it used to
be. But then, I wouldn’t have turned my head more than thrice when I sat
there coz the people around me where more lovable and hilarious than one
could imagine. The moments spent with those folks were the best till date @
i|Nautix. They were so very gleeful. I just can't stop thinking about those
moments. Let it be the warm funny welcome that I used to get in the morning
upon reaching my desk or the pranks that they used to play on me and we on
others :p.. Let it be the jolly fights I used to have with Mr. Hari & Ms.
Thenmozhi (:D) or the non-stop mokkai we team members used to put (ha ha).
Let it be the art of imitation of our slang by Mr.Krish, the cheesy nick names
by which we were referred to by Mr.Pradeep or the gossips with Anitha,
Akalya, Sathiya (:p)... Infact here I got many friends(Revathi, Vimal,
Bhanu, Kannan[A&R] and many more to fill the space) for life too. Nice PL,
awesome TL, no politics, helping nature of people, enthusiastic and gala
atmosphere, the crazy behavior upon seeing anything and everything that
falls under the category of eatables :)) .. the list goes on and on and on.
Though many of us have moved out of the team, those moments will remain
close to my heart forever. :-)

The Indian Bus Fate

Most of the time it's a very common scene at the bus stations... We wait for quite sometime and realize that almost all buses that ply around are buses which go to place where we are not planning to go.. ;) or places where we went last time and were waiting for the same bus for a long time then. If you look around .. am sure this is the thought that would be going thro' everyone's mind at that moment.. :p and the very thought that comes to our mind that very moment is that.. "I don't know why my fate is like this.. i am made to stand always.. there are so many buses coming and going.. but i am always waiting... "..

But why am i writing this post.. it's just cos i am bugged of waiting for buses and catching buses everyday.. and almost daily i curse my fate... :)
